WAAM (Women Artists Archives + Media) presents Ruptures, an exhibition bringing together the work of artists Cara Despain and Antonia Wright. The presentation considers what happens when intervention and resistance are no longer relegated to the periphery. Taking inspiration from bell hooks’ seminal essay Choosing the Margin as a Space of Radical Openness (1989), both artists bring gestures of disruption to the forefront as acts of reclamation.
